Good News From New York!

Good news from Universitas Padjadjaran Delegation for National Model United Nations New York 2013 ("NMUN-NY 2013"). Unpadformun sent 7 delegates and 3 advisors to represent Singapore in the NMUN-NY 2013, organized by National Collegiate Conference Association. We got Honorable Mention, and it was the greatest feelings for us because the announcement was inside the UN Headquarter General Assembly Hall, New York. Hope this is just the beginning from many others achievements in the future.

NMUN New York 2013 - Open Recruitment

For more than 40 years, the National Collegiate Conference Association (NCCA), sponsor of National Model United Nations (NMUN), has provided quality college/university level programs that bring together the next generation of international leaders. More than 5,000 college/university delegates, half from outside the United States, come to New York City each spring to discuss current global issues on twenty selected committees. Outside conference sessions, delegations enjoy the proximity to Permanent Missions, world class museums, restaurants and shopping, and the United Nations itself. NMUN's premiere conference is held with UN Headquarters as a backdrop.

Unpad for MUN would like to invite you to join NMUN NY, March 2013. Here are the requirements:

·         An essay about your MUN experience(s),  300-500 words (for experienced applicants)

World Model United Nations 2013: Now Recruiting

The Harvard World Model United Nations (WorldMUN) is an annual traveling Model United Nations conference that is run by Harvard students and a local university team from the host city. WorldMUN moves to a new international city each year and attracts 2,000 college and graduate students from more than 60 countries, making it the largest traveling collegiate-level Model UN conference in the world. For the 22nd session, WorldMUN will be held in Melbourne, Australia on March 18-22, 2013.

Interested in being delegates? Here are the info you need to know:

Who?

            We welcome all students of Universitas Padjadjaran.

What?

            Prepare your:

• Motivation Letter

• Essay of 500 words in minimum and must not extend 1,000 words with the topic below (choose one):

Hereby we announce you the country assignment for you regarding to the conference simulation that we are going to have on the Final Round. You are going to simulate the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crimes (UNODC) which is a member of United Nations Development Group.


The topic area for the final round is: 
The Role of Corruption in Narcotraffic Terrorism


Here is the country assignment list:

Therefore, here's what you have to do:

1. Make a page full of position paper.
2. Do a deep research about the topic that we gave you and your country's position regarding to the topic.
3. Bring your own placard which is a A4 paper folded into two vertically and write down your country and make it big and bold so it would be easier for us to see what country you are representing.
4. Submit your position paper to unpadforlimun2013@yahoo.com before Friday, July 13th 2012 at 21.00 with the subject: "Position Paper - (Your Name) - Country"
