LONDON INTERNATIONAL MODEL UNITED NATIONS
Being the largest annual university-based Model United Nations conference across Europe, LIMUN is a foundation which aims to extend cultural empathy, understanding of international affairs, and knowledge of the United Nations among young people through the medium of Model United Nations conference. 


THE PARTICIPANTS
LIMUN welcomes up to over 1,500 delegates from all over the world, ranging from High School students to Undergraduates and Graduates. 


BEING PART OF UNPAD for LIMUN 2017 DELEGATION: WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
  • Leadership. Shaping potential young leaders through the sharpening of your skills at delegating your colleagues with subtle guidance.
  • Networking. Creating, building, and maintaining links and friendship as much as you can, domestically and internationally.
  • Public Speaking. Expressing your very own thoughts and point of view in front of your fellow delegates.
  • Negotiating. Conquering the art of negotiating through diplomatic debates and arguments  in problem solving sessions.
  • Team Work. Developing your ability to adapt into new environment of new friends, delegating parts of assignments.
  • Achievements. Achieve any kind of Diplomacy Awards may it be in the training or in the LIMUN itself, such as Best Position Paper, Honorable Mention, Outstanding Delegate, and Best Delegate.

LONDON INTERNATIONAL MODEL UNITED NATIONS 2016




What is LIMUN?

LIMUN is a registered independent charity (number: 1096197) which aims to extend cultural empathy, understanding of international affairs, and knowledge of the United Nations amongst young people through the organisation of an annual Model United Nations (MUN) conference. LIMUN is also known as the largest annual university-based MUN conference in Europe which welcome more than 1.500 delegates from across the world representing over 190 countries in different committees such as WHO, FAO, UNICEF, UNESCO, DISEC, and many others. In 2016, LIMUN will hold its 17th session set in London's unique and cosmopolitan atmosphere.

Henceforth, we would like you to come and participate as a part of Universitas Padjadjaran delegation for LIMUN 2016!

The recruitment days will be held on :

First Wave                  : 6th June 2015
Second Wave               : 13th June 2015
Final Round                : 20th June 2015

Our delegation is open for all students from any faculties. All you need to do are :

1. Submit all the required documents      :
a.     Curriculum Vitae (CV)
b.     Motivation Letter (1 page max)
c.     Submit it in one compile file in word format with title “1stWave_Name_Faculty_Batch” (e.g. 1stWave_AilsaVidi _Communication_2013) 

2.     Submit all the required documents according to the recruitment day you will be attending
a.     First Wave submission deadline         : 4th June 2015 at 11.59 PM
b.     Second Wave submission deadline      : 10th June 2015 at 11.59 PM
c.     Submit to : unpadforlimun2016@gmail.com with subject “1stWave_Name_Faculty” (for First Wave) and “2ndWave_Name_Faculty” (for Second Wave)


PLEASE NOTE!

  1.  Submit the entire required documents within submission dates depending on which recruitment wave you will be attending.
  2.  Bring the require documents and put it together in a blue envelope during the recruitment day.
  3.  Dates of recruitment day are fixed and final, we will NOT accept any excuses if the applicant cannot come to the recruitment day.

Each year, LIMUN welcome more than 1,500 delegates from across the world, representing over 190 countries in 25 different committees, such as WHO, FAO, UNICEF, UNESCO, DISEC, and many others.

WHY LIMUN?

As if young people work together to find solutions to international challenges, acquire new knowledge and skills, and build relationships that cross borders of background, cultures, and nationalities, LIMUN’s committees and agenda offer something for all delegates, from newcomers to MUN veterans. Committee sessions are, as always, complemented by a range of social events showcasing London’s unique atmosphere and culture.

WHAT CAN WE EARN BY JOINING LIMUN?


  • Leadership, creating new young future leaders with great leadership personality who are able to lead the next generations in the country in supporting and providing solutions for international issues.
  • Problem Solving, representing Indonesia from Universitas Padjadjaran to participate in negotiating and solving international problems as it is stated in the UN agenda.
  • Teamwork, personal form with the ability to cooperate internationaly with more than 1,500 students in all parts of the world.
  • Networking, builds, expands, and maintains a good relationship with all students in various parts of the world.
  • Sharing, providing space to share travel and educational stories and also global problems that exist in each country.
