NMUN’S Mission

For more than 47 years, the National Collegiate Conference Association (NCCA), sponsor of National Model United Nations (NMUN), has provided quality college/university level programs that bring together the next generation of international leaders. We are a nonprofit organization that advances understanding of the United Nations and contemporary international issues. We positively affect the lives of participants and prepare them to be better global citizens through quality educational experiences that emphasize collaboration and cooperative resolution of conflict. We envision a world comprised of civically engaged people who strive for peaceful, multi-lateral conflict resolution and equitable, sustainable human development.

Over 5,000 college/university students, more than half from outside the United States, come to New York City each spring to discuss current global issues. Delegates come prepared to solve three pressing issues relevant to our 21 simulated UN committees. Outside conference sessions, delegations enjoy the proximity to Permanent Missions to the UN, the United Nations itself, as well as world class museums, architecture, shows, restaurants and shopping. NMUN's premiere conference is held with UN Headquarters as a backdrop.

      All you need to do are:

• Motivation letter (1 page max, including your understanding about NMUN-NY itself)

·         Dates of recruitment day are fixed and final, we will not accept excuses if the applicant cannot come to the recruitment day.
